going to be a killer romance read
— Abigail Books Addiction

I was beyond excited to pick up The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang last month. I heard so many raving book reviews that I knew this book was going to be a killer romance read. And I was definitely right.

There are so many representations in this novel that everyone will feel the love. It's never easy dealing with an unexpected ASD diagnosis. But our heroine, Anna, has it. It may be a struggle for her at first, but it will later bring her comfort. And Quan fully supports her.

Oh, Quan. I was waiting for his book. And boy, it does not disappoint. He is finally getting back to self after recovering from cancer. It was a challenge, but we are getting to know post-cancer Quan. He seems a little insecure about himself but Anna brings him to life. Very unexpected surprise.

Their relationship may be temporary at first. But the more they are together, the more they realize they are meant to be together. It will be complicated since Anna heavily replies to her family's opinions.

Expect surprises along the way. Nothing ever stays the same. Situations evolve through the book.

Trigger warning: suicide and depression
