This is a problem of mine. I always have high expectations for a certain book whenever I see a book recommendation on Booktok. I expect it's going to blow my mind like the other Booktokers. Sadly, Promises and Pomegranates did not impress me.

There was no plot in this book. It's more of a smut read than a dark romance read. I am fine in reading a smut romance read but I was not prepared for it. I truly thought that I was reading a dark mafia romance read. It threw me out of the loop when there was knife play and blood play. Expect some kinkiness when reading this book. Full warning.
