I have seen this book all over bookstagram, so it definitely piqued my interest. Of course, I had to go read the book. And I have some mixed feelings about it.

I truly think that we need to stop comparing new books to our favorite past books. It sets it up to high expectations. So when bookstagram compared this book to Beach Read by Emily Henry, I had high expectations with this book. Imagine my disappointment when I finished the book, and it did not live up to my expectations.

Lease On Love is a cute romance read. And it's nothing like Beach Read. It's more of a forced proximity romance trope with a plant lover enthusiast and a grumpy nerdy roommate. Keep that in mind, and you won't be disappointed.
