I enjoy reading any of Alexis Daria's books. She knows how to write steamy Latina romance books. Her previous books, including Take the Lead, are also being republished. I had never read it before, but I had the chance when I was given a copy for an honest review.

If you enjoy watching the TV series "Dancing with the Stars," then you will enjoy reading Take the Lead. It’s the same premise as the show, but it has a little more to it. We get more of the dramatic side of it. And when I say drama, it’s major drama within the show, characters, and family as well. I kind of felt for Gina and Stone.

Gina has always wanted to be at the top of the competition, but she is not willing to do as much as her other co-stars, such as fake romance. She wants it for her merit, and I commend her for that. Not everyone is willing to stick by it. But it’s going to be tricky when she has management pushing for it.

Stone may not know what he was signing up for, but he has to do whatever he needs to do to stay on top since his family is counting on him. And I felt sorry for him. His family isn’t really nice to him at all. Yes, he may be a little different from his other siblings, but that’s still your child. To maintain a peaceful mindset, it is sometimes necessary to cut off contact with family.

While Gina and Stone deal with their personal issues, they are also struggling to fight their attraction for each other. You may not expect it, but opposites do attract each other.
