You literally threw my heart in the shredder after the ending
— Abigail Books Addiction

Just from the book cover, I already knew that I was going to love it. And I was right. I definitely love this book so much, even though it broke my heart in the end. I can’t believe you, Eliza Chan. You literally threw my heart in the shredder after the ending. I know you know what I am talking about. I won’t go into details because I don’t want to spoil it, but know that you are going to be affected by your feelings toward the end of the book.

Besides my emotional rants regarding the ending, let’s talk about why this book is going to become your next favorite fantasy read. First, it’s a jade city series with bits of dragons and mythology vibes. Second, there are multiple perspectives throughout the book, and everything connects one way or another. Third, there is a bit of forbidden romance going on (not the main plot). And lastly, there is so much surprise that will keep you on the edge until everything reveals itself.

While my heart broke after the ending, I still love these characters so much. And I can’t wait for their next chapter in their lives since there will be another book in the series. I do hope that this isn’t the last of what I am so heartbroken about. And let’s just keep it at that. I want all of my fellow readers to have the full experience.
