I have not read from Nicola Marsh before but I was definitely excited to read The Boy Toy especially when the illustrated book cover is stinking cute.
I should have realized that I needed to lower my expectations whenever I get over excited about upcoming romance books. It tends to leave me disappointed when a romance book does not live up to their hype, which happens with The Boy Toy. I expected more of a steamy fling leading into something bigger than rush paced unexpected surprise romance. Everything was a bit too rushed that it felt too heavy at times. It needed to be in a flow so we can have a full romance experience.
