Let's just say that this book is not a sports romance book. It's more of a cheerleader falling in love with a former friend.
Roman has always been focused on his academics. He truly does not focus on females. It's more of the studies that get him going. And it surprises most people, especially Lily. She is facing a horrible breakup, and it does not help that her roommate is such a hag. But she can spend more time with her former roommate. And she gets to be friends with Roman, who forgot she knew but remembers again.
I always love reading any of Sara Ney's books. She knows how to write such funny sports romance books. But yet, I found myself questioning this book. I love Roman as a character. Found him precious and adorable. It was Lily that I found annoying. She just annoys me so much whenever: she keeps coming into his space, expecting expectations from him, being very needy about her breakup, and her consistent nagging. Goodness, you are not in a relationship. Take a pill.
