I thought I was ready for Cassius' book but I definitely was not prepared for the emotional rollarcoastal throughout the book. Rachelle Mills, you have outdone yourself.

Cassius' story brings us to present time in the Valentine pack. He is adjusting to raising his children but he is struggling with Kennedy's death. Grief does take a toll. And it does not help that he keeps reading the letters that Kennedy leaves him with. Those letters are so harsh that I definitely cannot stand Kennedy at all. I am hopeful that Cassius is able to move on especially since he is taking notice of Treajure.

Treajure. Treajure. Treajure. My heart goes out to you. It’s not something I say to everyone but to let you know that you have a special part of my heart. You have been through so much that I don’t know how to explain how you pull through. But I got to say you are amazing and you deserve everything even if you prefer the flaw yet sweet Cassius. Your love for him is so pure that I root for you to get your happy ending.

Their relationship is slow burning. It takes time to heal yourself. But once you discover yourself again, you finally recognize who you are and what you meant to be. Just like Cassius and Treajure. Their romance is so pure that I am so happy that they are together. They are truly meant for each other because they have faced so much in life but they still have good in them. It may be a little broken but who isn’t.
