Second chances trope
— Abigail Books Addiction

It's so hard to read second chances romance tropes. It's either the repeat storyline or lacks chemistry between the characters. And that's what is happening with All Consuming.

I was pretty excited to read Kai's journey in All Consuming. But his love interest did not appeal to me at all. I just could not connect with her at all. And I found myself not liking her personality throughout the book which was a bummer. I really wanted a fresh character for Kai, not a former love. There was too much repairing when it's second chances trope especially when you reunited with your first love again.
