I should have prepared myself when I started reading this book because the author is known to write heavy books. Look at her first book, Float. This book focuses on Anna's sister, Rachel and the chaos that follows her.
I got to say that I did enjoy reading Rachel's story. She had a lot of things to deal with throughout her life with being a single mother. So I totally get where she gets very cautious with dating, especially with her new boss Mason.

What I did not expect was the heavy topics discussed in this book affecting me after finishing reading it. It was so emotionally draining that I needed a day to recover. I will definitely warn you to read about the trigger warning before starting this book.
