Get ready for a messy journey in Out of the Clear Blue Sky.
— Abigail Books Addiction

I haven’t read any of Kristan Higgins books before, so I was kind of excited to read her newest book, Out of the Clear Blue Sky. And boy, did it not disappoint at all.

I have to say it: this book was messy yet realistic. Let me explain. Lillie is going through the wringer when her cheating husband wants a divorce and has been cheating on here for the last few months. Yes, she is heartbroken when she discovered the news, but in reality she is freaking angry. She had been with him for so many years that she did not think that they would have divorced or that he would cheat. It's a shocker for sure that she is going to take her revenge as much as she can when she processes everything. I don’t blame her at all. She has the right to be.

What I really like about this book is the realistic feelings of Lillie as she navigates her divorce while the other women are living in the same town as her. There was no slow process or fast process. It was Lillie taking it day by day. It will relate to a lot of people who went through a messy divorce.

I forgot to mention that we get the other woman's pov as well. And I have to say that I really don’t like her pov. I really thought she was selfish and cruel. She knew he was married and still pursued him. What was the point. I really appreciate what she got in the end because karma always comes back around.
