I feel conflicted with Lucky’s Beach story. Like I wanted to enjoy this story but there were some parts that needed expanded.
Julie Barlow has always been the responsible one. Always doing what’s right for her. Lately, she has been feeling that she is missing something from her life. And it does not go well when she has to look for her uncle “Lucky” since he is not returning any phone calls from her mother.
Her relationship with her uncle is rocky at best. They have not been in each other's lives for several years so far. And it makes no sense for her to look for him since he is apparently missing according to her mother. I honestly understand her feelings because she honestly believes she was abandoned from her uncle multiple times after promising to be there. Promises are promises. And I really hope for those two to talk it out but they never did in the story. It was mentioned a little bit but it really needed to expose more since that’s what made Julie feel stuck in her life. And her uncle can give her his reason. Maybe he can help her express what she truly feelings.
