she becomes very suspicious of her grandmother when they start acting weird regarding orders
— Abigail Books Addiction

You already know that I love reading any cozy mystery books. Cozy mystery books are always so good that I always read them in one sitting. And that’s what I read when I read The Usual Family Mayhem.

The Usual Family Mayhem is a bit of a romance and cozy mystery book. The main character, Kasey, comes back to her hometown, where her grandmother and her grandmother's best friend live and operate their small bakery shop. You are probably wondering why she is going back to her hometown. Well, Kasey kind of pitched her grandmother's business to her boss, who wants to buy their bakery, which Kasey's grandmother doesn't know at all.

Kasey is in a bit of a pickle because her grandmother and her grandmother's best friend will never sell their bakery business. It’s a strong no, which will cause problems for Kasey when she pitches their business to her boss. And it doesn’t help that she becomes very suspicious of her grandmother when they start acting weird regarding orders and her arch nemesis comes into the picture. That’s where the cozy mystery and romance pick up.
