— Abigail

I have always been a fan of Chloe Gong's work. So I was more than excited that she was going to release an adult fantasy series. And it's going to be another Shakespeare retelling.

Immortal Longings brings Antony and Cleopatra's retellings into a scientific fantasy world. It's like watching the matrix with the mummy movies in the mix. I know, I know. It sounds a bit weird or strange, but it works very well. Trust me, I enjoyed it so much. I will warn you, though, that it's more scientific fantasy than romance. The romance part is a small subplot.

What I always love reading from Chloe Gong's book is her way of twisting Shakespeare's work. Chloe Gong will write a Shakespeare's story retelling, but she twists it in her own way that satisfies all of her readers, especially those who read Shakespeare's works.
